I almost don't know what to think anymore. I was going through the "NEWS", and it is disturbing to see what the reports are about. I don't like to see hate filled stuff. This morning I was running into more stuff that was so NAZI like that it scared me. I'm of the belief that we call to us those things that we have our mind on. This does reflect some of my recent thought as regards our growing angst in our world. However, I also believe in the creative power of... our thinking. Hate begets hate. When we are led into the hate of one faction of society, it turns into a self-feeding monster. It is like a snake feeding on its own tail. Energy is needed to balance this.
"Everyone loves a lover", should be the energy we emit. The way we counter the negativity is to spread our loving energy around the world. When I went looking for quotes I found them in all of the holy texts I looked in.
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
We need to spread love to ALL, regardless of their stance about us, or their religious beliefs. God did not tell Moses to write "Love thy neighbor as thyself as long as they believe as you do." It reads, "Love thy neighbor as thyself." full stop. Love is our only way to raise the energy enough to stop the spiraling fall into hate and raise the positive energy of love and acceptance.
The psychology of hate
There is no rule that says you must hate those who hate you. You can cover their hatred with love, and cancel it out.
Hate masks personal insecurities. Not all insecure people are haters, but all haters are insecure people. The hater believes their hate elevates them above the hated. Haters cannot stop hating without exposing their personal insecurities. Haters can only stop hating when they face their insecurities.
Haters hate because they are afraid that if they stop it will expose their vulnerable and tender underbelly.
The Path to Calm and Steady
To find the calm and steady one must practice being calm and steady. When you feel your knee-jerk reaction; stop. Think about what has caused the reaction. Purposely calm the reaction, and realize that you are being pulled into a drama that is not part of your belief. Ask yourself, "What is really making you angry, upset, or afraid?" If it doesn't come to you at first ask God, the Holy Spirit or other higher being for enlightenment. Generally, strong reactions are brought on by fear of something that is hiding within this situation. Once it is identified, it is much easier to see and understand.
My fears are typically centered around the ability to survive, something happening to my family or friends or a global terrorist event. This is the time to explore what you fear is going to happen and look at what the real probability of this happening. Many times it is almost impossible for these events to happen in most areas of the world. If it is possible then you must take steps, if possible, to assure a more positive result. I keep survival materials, never run low on medications, and know where all the medicinal and food plants are in my vicinity. I'm 99% sure I will never need this information, but it soothes my mind to know I can survive and help others do the same.
